Canavieiras - Bahía

This ecological city is located in The Cascao Coast, in the south region of the littoral. It is conformed by several maritime islands.

Its architecture is simple, adorned by spacious streets.

It is a recommendable place for fishing, specially the robalo.

Atalaia Island

This site is situated in front of the city of Canaveiras, 14 kilometres from the beach. This is a popular place for eco-tourism thanks to the diversity of marine species that reside in the island. In between the months of October and March, the season of billfish fishing takes place.


Among the most important beaches, it is possible to mention:

De la Costa Beach. A popular beach. It covers 6 kilometres of coconut trees areas and summer houses.

De la Barra Velha Beach. Its access is relatively difficult. Its waves are calm and the sand is white. It is an ideal location for fishing.

Del Patipe Beach. It extends itself along 8 kilometres, it is also covered by coconut trees and summer houses. The calm waves make this site popular for fishing and windsurfing.

Del Sur Beach. A free area with coconut trees and swamps. To arrive in, it is necessary to travel by ship through The Pardo River.

Del Norte Beach. Another free area with coconut trees and Atlantic glade. It is known as well as "oiticica".
