The State of Parana was originally conformed by a diversity of European immigrants: Italian, German, Polish, Dutch and Japanese.
Parana covers 570.000 kilometers.
Thanks to its strategic location, this State plays, nowadays, an important role in The MERCOSUR (Mercado Común del Sur).
Parana is plenty of natural attractions and, it is, in fact, one of the best destinies for tourism and business.
The State produces coffee, soja and wheat.
The daily train service, from Curitiba to the city of Paranagua, is a real trip; it passes through the city of Vila Velha and traverses Foz do Iguazu, the famous waterfalls.
The best époque to see The Iguazu Waterfalls is from August to November, because from May to July, the water volume is so high that it is almost impossible to observe them.

Matinhos
Guaratuba
Superagui and Mel (paradisiacal islands).
Its current population is: 11.261.856 inhabitants, according census 2007. The Paraná State´s capital is Curitiba with current population of: 1.788.559 inhabitants, according census 2007.
