The State of Sao Paulo is the biggest cultural, economical and tourist city of Brazil; as well as its commercial, industrial and financial centre.
It has the highest population and the major economical production of Brazil. The number of habitants is over 36 million people.
This State is the second largest city in Latin America and the third one in the world. It is considered the main consumption market of Latin America.
The metropolitan region of Sao Paulo includes 20 million residents approximately.

The Municipal Market
The Paulistano Municipal Market (known before as Central Market) 1399. It is located on Cantareira Street, 306, in the periphery, between 25 de Março Street and the Park of D. Pedro II.
The Park of Ibirapuera
This place is an urban park which contains a dense forest and vegetation. It is called "Sao Paulo´s lung". This open space is ideal for strolls and sports.
The Zoo
This is an area of the Atlantic Glade where feral animals live. It includes libraries specialized on zoology, and The House of Ambient Education where diverse activities take place.
The Zoo Safari
This park combines a zoo and a safari: some animals march freely among visitors vehicles. People can use the park´s own service transport. This place has a cafeteria in the parking.
The Trianón Park (Lieutenant Siqueira Campos)
In the midst of the landscape designed by Paul Villon (France), this park offers to its visitors a close contact with native species of trees, like a Jequitibá that is more than 300 years old, in between sculptures. It includes, also, playgrounds, a gym and the famous Fauno´s Path.

Weather
The most part of the year, the weather of the city of Sao Paulo fluctuates between a maximum of 24°C. during the day and 18 or 19°C. during night. From November to March, it is hot and the temperature can oscillate between 28 and 30°C. during daylight.
In such months, normally, it rains every day during the afternoon. This rain causes certain floods in the lowest parts of the centre and some traffic problems over the city.
In this époque, it is better to carry an umbrella. In winter (June and July), it can be very cold, the temperature can descend to 6°C.
