Parque Nacional Itatiaia - Rio de Janeiro

Itatiaia presents a diverse landscape where a visitor can easily find mountains, waterfalls and a humid forest.

It is placed between the States of Rio de Janeiro and Minas Gerais. The entrance to the park has a cost.

The Park is divided in two parts:

The upper part, where mountains are located; a famous one is Pico de las Agujas Negras (The Peak of Black Needles).
The lower part, where waterfalls, ideal for bathing, are located.

This location counts with high quality hotels and dwellings inside and outside the park.

Many outdoor activities can be practiced there: canyoning, cycling, climbing, rapel and trekking.
