Parque Anchieta - São Paulo
Provincial Park of The Anchieta Island. It was created in 1977, resting on 828 hectares of exuberant Atlantic forest, a group of mountains, some small fatnesses, four beaches and a lot of virgin grove.
The Anchieta Island, also called the Pigs´ Island, is one of the principal attractions of Ubatuba.
This Park encloses a laboratory of The Fishing Institute, oriented to research, with 26 accommodations for researchers. The permanency in the island is not allowed.
JURÉIA
Other important site to visit is The Ecological Station Juréia - Itatins. This area is a representation of diverse ecosystems oriented to scientific research, environmental protection and environmental education.
It covers 80.000 hectares of Atlantic bush and different ecosystems. It contains a very rich fauna with various species in danger of extinction.
It is located to the south of Sao Paulo´s littoral.
