MASP, São Paulo Art Museum Assis Chateaubriand
In October 2, 1947 the MASP was inaugurated by Assis Chateaubriand, founder and owner of the Newspapers and Radio stations Association and with the professor Pietro María Bardi, journalist and art critical in Italy, recently arrived to Brazil. A soul, talent and forces history it made possible the MASP existence. This collection is the most important in the south hemisphere, and it is considered humanity's heritage. The Assis Chateaubriand's happy encounter with Pietro María Bardi placed Brazil in one of the first countries of the world in the arts universe.

Casa das Rosas
Casa das Rosas was reopening in September 19, 1995 like a cultural proposal, being a differentiated cultural space, computerized and dedicated to art exhibitions. Today, the activities of the new space are essentially directed to reading and investigation.
In December of 2004, the mansion starts to call as Casa das Rosas Haroldo de Campos Poetry and Literature Cultural Space. The heritage of 35 thousand library volumes of the poet's, translator and essayist Haroldo de Campos now is of all the Sao Paulo's people. Besides the books, the family also donates the poet's office to the Culture Secretary.
The library gathers strange books, as the first books editions with Octavio Paz and João Cabral de Melo Neto autography. In the shelves, they are the valuable translations of the own Haroldo of works in English, French, Spanish, German, Italian, Russian, Hebraic, Chinese and Japanese. Also there are the Divine Comedy songs, in that he worked before dying.

Paço das Artes is one of the biggest multidisciplinary art galleries that promotes programs of cultural action by means of exhibitions and publications that embrace all the segments of the visual arts: plastic arts, graphic arts, design and multimedia, collaborating indeed to the reflection and understanding the national and international contemporary art.

Pinacoteca do Estado
The museum has a well defined Brazilian art profile of XIX century until contemporary time. Their patrimony has near 4 thousand pieces, and it is significant, especially for São Paulo city, since it gathers works of Sao Paulo artists, as Almeida Júnior, Pedro Alexandrino and Oscar Pereira da Silva, besides representative works of Cândido Portinari, Anita Malfatti, Víctor Brecheret, Tarsila do Amaral and Di Cavalcanti. The Arts Pavilion is located in the Ibirapuera Park, also it is part of the art gallery and it promotes many exhibitions of big artistic importance.

Memorial da América Latina
It was projected by Oscar Niemeyer architect, in 78 thousand m² of built area; the Latin America Memorial was conceived to be an information, ethno cultural and integration space of Latin American countries. The Memorial has a pavilion for exhibitions, where permanently it is exposed the rich handmade production of the continent; there is also a library with books, newspapers, magazines, videos, films and sound recordings on the Latin America history; an auditorium for exhibition and other auditorium with capacity for 1.679 people (certainty we can say that this is one of the biggest of the State).In the Memorial building is the Latin-American Parliament's headquarters - also called Parlatino.

Museu da Casa Brasileira
Museu da Casa Brasileira was built between 1942 and 1945 years, in a territory of approximately 15.000 m². The old Solar Prado, is a replica of the Imperial Palace of Petrópolis, in Rio de Janeiro. The Museum is an important nucleus investigation, architecture and design discussion. Their library was organized and it has a videoteca that is a patrimony of Brazilian and international contemporary documentation.

Museu da Imagem e do Som
The Museum of the Image and Sound (MIS) it was created in May, 1970 and its main objective is register and preserve the past and the present actions, connected with the manifestations to the music, cinema, photographs, graphic arts areas, and all that concerns to the Brazilian contemporary life. At the present, the MIS patrimony has 200 thousand images distributed in thematic collections of diversified content. It has more than 1.600 videotapes, in the fiction genre, experimental and musical documental; and still 12.750 titles distributed in Super 8 and 16mm. The MIS has a monthly program offering shows, cinema and video festivals, photograph and of graphic arts exhibitions.

Museu de Arte Sacra
The Luz Monastery was founded and built by Friar Antonio de Sant'Anna Galvão, in 1774, characterizing like the most important colonial architectural monument of the XVIII century in São Paulo. In 1979, it was recognized as monument of interest and national preservation. The dependences of São Paulo's Sacred Museum of Art have a group of about 4 thousand pieces and their objective is to disclose and to preserve one of the most important museums heritages of the Brazilian sacred patrimony.

Museu de Pesca
The Fishing Museum is installed in a big house built in 1908, in a place where until the end of the XIX century it existed the Augusto Fort, the Fishing Museum has loved the visitors more than for half century. Their wealth shows diverse fish species, crustaceans, mollusks, birds and marine stuffed mammal's, shells of mollusks, corals, etc, besides scale models of crafts, equipment used in the fishing, artworks etc.

Museu de Zoologia da USP
The Zoology Museum (USP) is located in an area of 700 m², and the most of the exposed animals belong to the tropical fauna and it was embalmed 50 years ago. The Library, specialized in Zoology, has facilities and modern equipment, assisting to the scientific community and the public in general. It has a patrimony of 73.850 volumes, being 8.473 books, 2.364 newspapers titles, besides thesis and maps.

Palácio da Bolsa Oficial de Café
The building of the Coffee Museum began to be built in 1920 and it was inaugurated September 7 1922 in commemoration to the Centennial of Brazil Independence. The museum was built in Santos because, in that time, Santos city was the biggest coffee market of the world and many countries only accepted to buy the product if it was negotiated and paid in the Coffee Official stock exchange.
The office works up to 1986, but it was closed in some periods; after ten years - in September 25 1998 - it was reopening. The heritage counts with panels and vitral works of Benedito Calixto, besides the space for temporary exhibitions. Inside the museum project they are: a bookstore, library and archives, and the legacy in the coffee preparation center.

Museu Paulista - it is also known as Museum do Ipiranga
It was the first monument especially built to preserve the memory of Brazil Independence, the Paulista Museum, was inaugurated September 7, 1895 and it was created as Museum of Natural Sciences. In 1819 it recapture the original vocation and it is today a historical museum. The museum heritage has near 100 thousand pieces; it is constituted by artworks, furniture, suits and utensils that belonged to personalities of the Brazilian history, as the bandeirantes and the emperors. The museum has a library with 100 thousand volumes and a Historical Documentation Center, with 40 thousand manuscripts.

Museu do Theatro Municipal
Descending the stairs beside the Theater, and below the Chá Viaduct, is this small museum. The patrimony counts the Municipal Theater history - inaugurated in 1911 - by means of objects of the time, as being concerts programs, librettos and fashion-plates of operas. The museum exists from 1983 and it was installed in the first floor of the viaduct in 1995. From June of 2005 it starts remodeling works and only assists investigators.
The museum reopens in September with a permanent sample "Municipal Theater: Icon and Memory." They are 60 panels (texts and images), showcase with posters and videos reproductions. The exhibition - project of Márcio Sgreccia, responsible for the museum - it counts the history of the Municipal Theater and it is about the evolution of the opera, dance, theater, music and the stable bodies (starting from September).
