Goiás - Brasil
Goias is one of the most important States of the central - west region.
It is located in the heart of Brazil, 200 kilometres to the south - east of Brasilia.
Ranchmen of Sao Paulo were the first inhabitants of this zone when they were looking for more productive lands.
This region prospered, in the colonial époque, thanks to the rise of rich gold mines. Today, Goias is considered an important centre of neat production and fosterage.
Inside this State, there are several natural reserves, among them, it is possible to mention:

Goiás Velho
140 kilometres from Goiania.
The city of Goias, commonly known as Goias Velho, was the capital of The State.
Its main characteristic is conformed by enormous ancient residences, churches and chapels that reveal the splendour of the city during the gold period.
Goiana
This city is the capital of The State of Goias.
It is called "the city of the eternal spring". Its avenues are ample, they are covered by trees, and there is a pleasant weather during the year.
This region contains some important ecological reserves like The Das Emas National Park, mentioned before, which has one of the biggest hydrothermal spring water of the world; its name is Caldas Novas, the temperature of the water fluctuates between 35 and 42 °C.
Goiania also possesses an antique Portuguese architecture with particular designs reflected on different churches that were constructed in The XVII Century.
Pirenopolis
Pirenopolis is known as the city of Das Almas River, a mystic city which, currently, receives many esoteric communities.
The city is a mix of religious and pagan traditions that are reflected on diverse celebrations, such as The Divine Saint Spirit and The Cavalhadas (The Cavalry).
This is a significant destiny of the central - west region.
Das Almas River is an excellent location for rafting, as well as, resting in company of nature.
Chapada dos Veadeiros
The Chapada dos Veadeiros is a privileged landscape formed by beautiful valleys, rivers, cascades and mountains, and habited by a diverse wild fauna.
Thanks to its extraordinary natural locations, this city is considered a paradise for visitors.
It is an ideal place for adventure sports and outdoor activities: climbing, cycling and so on.
This spectacular region is also famous because of the presence of rock crystals that emerge from the soil. According to some esoteric practisers, a special energy from these crystals covers the zone.
