Museum of Ipiranga, Sao Paublo - Brasil
Some months after Independence proclamation on September 7, 1822, it came up the first proposal to built a monument to homage Brazil independence in the same place where was occurred the independence, on Ipiranga river shores.
Because of financial lack and constantly confusions about what type of monument to built, only seventy eight years after the proclamation, the plan was concreted with monument building inauguration in 1890.
In 1884, Tommaso Gaudenzio, Italian architect was hired who presented the construction project one year before for celebrating the independence. The architectonic style adopted was eclectic those years before was so popular in Europe and then was known in XIX century, the architectonic transformation of San Pablo.
